As for the question (Do you believe in love at first sight?), your responses skewed slightly towards not believing, although there were lots of you who did believe, or at least hoped.
Personally, I don’t think it can be real. I know, I know. I wrote a whole book about it. But if you’ll remember that was actually hate at first sight, which is far more entertaining. I do think first impressions really matter, though. I think they say a lot about how your relationship with another person is going to unfold.
I also think that most of us ignore our first impressions and then, months later, think to ourselves, “I should have known. When I first met him, I thought he was kind of a tool.” Of course, that rarely stops us from dating said tool.
Mostly, I believe in knowing if it’s someone you could love at first sight. But I also think we’re terribly bad at admitting that truth to ourselves when we finally do meet that person.
I have no idea why that is. Probably, we’re all just really stubborn.
But then again, I could be totally wrong.
